Sam Olson, PGA Head Golf Professional


Sam is beginning his 20th season as the Head Golf Professional at Redding CC. He has previously worked in Upstate New York at Yahnundasis Golf Club in Utica in 1991, Seawane Golf Club in Hewlett Harbor, New York in 1992, and Rolling Hills Country Club in Wilton, Connecticut from 1993-1995. He received his” Class A” status in July of 1995 and was hired at Redding CC January 1, 1996. 
 
Sam graduated from Clemson University in 1990 with a degree in Administrative Management. He was a scholarship player on the golf team that won the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship 3 times during his playing years. His top finishes in the Metropolitan area are a runner up finish in the New York State Open at Bethpage Black and a runner up finish in the Connecticut Open at Woodway CC in Darien. 
 



RCC’s 18-hole, par 71 golf course is a 6,355 yard Rees Jones design and includes a practice range, short game practice area, a practice putting green and pro shop. 
 

 
The professional staff at RCC includes a head professional and an assistant professional. Private lessons are always available and clinics are scheduled for juniors and ladies depending on the demand. There is an active tournament schedule for both women and men who enjoy the challenge of a little competition. The Pro Shop stocks the latest in clothing and equipment.
