Anton Mavrin - Director of Tennis

I started playing tennis at the age of 7. From the age of 13 I represented the national team in World Youth Cups in 14, 16, and 18 age categories. Later, I accepted full athletic scholarship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where I was the captain of the team and played top lines in singles and doubles. I graduated with a major in Organizational Communication and minor in Psychology.

I will be bringing over twelve years of experience in the country club business throughout which I have run and administered highly active programs at elite clubs on Long Island and in Connecticut. In my most recent position I was the head tennis professional at Wee Burn Country Club in Darien, Connecticut for over five years with a focus on junior programs of the Club.

I am the United States Professional Tennis Association (‘USPTA”) Elite Professional, and I continue my development by attending workshops, exchanging knowledge with other top professionals in the industry, and maintaining relationships with several current and former top – 100 professional tennis players in the world.

My coaching is based on an individualized and adaptable approach that considers students’ personal goals and abilities. So whether you are new to the game or an experienced player, my staff and I will help you achieve your goals while having fun!

In addition to bringing my skills, passion, and love of tennis, I also look forward to building long lasting relations and creating a welcoming and inclusive environment at the Redding Country Club where you will enjoy tennis activities while spending time with your friends and family.
